Historian

  • The Budget & Finance Committee ensures the financial health of the Section by coordinating and providing financial oversight of the Section’s budget activities.
  • The Bylaws Committee ensures the Section Bylaws are consistent with the NCNW National Bylaws, policies, and procedures.
  •  The Clergy and Spirituality Committee draws upon spiritual resources to enhance creative relationships and meaning in the work of the Section.
  • The Communications and Public Relations Committee provides a positive and professional image of the Section within the Carroll, Douglas, and Paulding communities by sharing information on social media, website, print media, radio, television, and articles.
  • The Community Outreach and Engagement Committee implements activities, programs, and/or events to help meet the needs of the community and support the efforts of our youth, educating and sharing valuable information about life and health.
  • The Economic Development Committee educates the public in the areas of business development, retention, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
  • The Education Committee monitors and keeps the membership informed of educational issues that affect the Black community. It also promotes and encourages science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) education for communities of color by implementing measures and providing opportunities that will provide greater awareness of STEAM careers and greater access to the paths to those careers.
  • The Health Committee promotes health and fitness by providing information regarding health care awareness in the community.
  • The Hospitality Committee coordinates refreshments; extends warm welcome to members and visitors; recognizes achievements, illnesses, birthdays, and bereavements of our Members and their families.
  • The Political Action and Public Affairs Committee provides the Section with information and education on the political process that impacts our community and supports voter registration activities.
  • The Programs Committee coordinates the total of NCNW NWGA programs to guarantee all-out efficiency of the purposes of NCNW.
  • The Ways and Means Committee conducts fundraising activities to support the projects/programs of the Section.
  • The Young Adults Committee encourages, recruits, and focuses on the participation of young women, who must be between the ages of twenty-five (25) to under thirty-nine (39) years of age, to join for growth and leadership.
